About:

Functions:
1. Antioxidant - Reduces oxidation to prevent the formation of free radicals which may be harmful to health.
2. Dietary / Nutritional Supplement - Vitamins, minerals, proteins, fatty acids or probiotics that improves nutritional intake
Alpha-Tocopherol is the form of vitamin E that is preferentially absorbed and accumulated in human. The main source found in supplements and in the European diet, where the main dietary sources are olive and sunflower oils. Alpha tocopherol and other vitamin E substances are antioxidants, which means they can help the body fight off a range of degenerative conditions. Vitamin E is beneficial to overall body function, and a regular part of a healthy diet. When used as food additive, alpha-tocopherol has a E number 307. [1]
In cosmetics and personal care products, Tocopherol and other ingredients made from Tocopherol, including Tocopherol esters are used in the formulation of lipstick, eye shadow, blushers, face powders and foundations, moisturizers, skincare products, bath soaps and detergents, hair conditioners, and many other products. [1]
It is approved to use as food additive in EU and generally recognized as safe food substance in US.
