About:

Functions:
1. Acidity Regulator / Buffering Agent - Changes or maintains the acidity or basicity of food/cosmetics.
Sodium sulfate, also known as sulfate of soda, is white solid that is highly soluble in water. It is important in the manufacture of textiles, which helps in "levelling", reducing negative charges on fibres so that dyes can penetrate evenly. In the laboratory, anhydrous sodium sulfate is widely used as an inert drying agent, for removing traces of water from organic solutions. Other uses for sodium sulfate include de-frosting windows, starch manufacture, as an additive in carpet fresheners, and as an additive to cattle feed.
Sodium sulfate has E number 514. It is approved to use as food additive in EU and US.
